Thank you, Blakey ❤️

It’s an emotional and bittersweet week for all of us at The Edge: after over 30 years, our beloved Blakey is leaving us, stepping away from all things Edge to begin an exciting new chapter.

We truly don’t know where to begin, but the most heartfelt thank you of all time feels like a worthy start.

Blakey has been synonymous with The Edge since she first set foot in our old offices as an independent consultant way back in 1994. Fast-forward to 1997 when she became our full-time Chairman, and the rest is… well… our history together!

It would be the understatement of all understatements to say that Blakey’s left an indelible mark on every aspect of Edge-ness.

From business development to branding, cash-flow to casting, finances to fun, people to post-production, strategic planning to singing on soundtracks (and many Edge parties!), she’s been at the heart of everything we’ve done.

For over three decades, Blakey has been the unquestioned backbone of The Edge: the impassioned heartbeat of our familial, friendly, caring culture; our rock during the tough times, and the joyous heartbeat of everything that’s made life here so fun and special during so many good times so far.

She’s been the driving force that’s inspired the energy, dedication, hard work, and commitment that our whole team, past and present, has brought to every aspect of Edge life around the world – and that we’ll continue to bring long into the future.

We’re in no doubt that everyone who’s been part of The Edge during the last 30 years has benefitted from Blakey’s wisdom, guidance, care, and love. She’s been a mentor and friend to so many of us, from junior staff through to our leadership team, and among so, so many other things, it’s going to be very strange for all of us to no longer receive emails written in classic Blakey pink!

We’ll miss you so very much, but we’re all excited for you to embark on your new adventure.
