An exciting news update to share from Tern Television, one of our sister companies within Zinc Media Group, and one of the UK’s foremost factual content producers. They’ve unveiled a captivating 5-part documentary series set to premiere on LinkedIn’s ‘Live Events’ platform.
This series, and the kind of major broadcast collaboration it represents, is a great example of the new opportunities and possibilities available to us at The Edge since we joined forces with Zinc Media Group, and we’ve barely scratched the surface .
The series, ‘Big in America’, has been commissioned by the UK’s Department for Business and Trade (DBT) – responsible for promoting UK trade across the world – as part of its wider flagship campaign, “Made in the UK, Sold to the World”.
‘Big in America’ aims to encourage more businesses to export and take advantage of the free expert advice offered by the UK government to help them on their international trading journey.
The series follows five small businesses, all determined to crack the American market and export their goods and services, with each episode seeing Alex Polizzi – the British hotelier, businesswoman, and TV personality – mentor them in turn as they learn the ropes of the US market to prepare to pitch to a major US business in New York City.
‘Big in America’ is the first time LinkedIn has partnered with an external channel to stream an exclusive ‘made-for-TV’ entertainment content series via its Live Event solution – a landmark moment.
