W Project Success!

The W Project curated by Loren Platt and Teo Connor, sponsored by The Edge, was an enormous success in terms of press, footfall and the exposure of such talented, inspirational women.  The opening night at The Russian Galleries was one-in-one-out, with visitors clambering to see the exhibition! 

The question ‘A woman’s work is? ....’ was posed to 40 women, (both established and emerging talent) working across the creative industries.  Their answers came in the form of film, design, fashion and art.

The 4-day exhibition which marked the 100th anniversary of International Women’s Day kicked off with a very busy private view, followed by an interactive photographic installation and a bricolage project workshop with Josephine Ada Chinonye Chime. The film night, hosted by The Edge, screened two award winning films with a provocative Q&A session featuring a range of inspirational women.  The closing party focused on the fashion industry with Caryn Franklin & Debra Bourne from All Walks at the helm.
