Meet The Team
14th July 2010Each quarter we feature a member of staff and the department in which they work - today we meet Jenny from our hectic facilities floor.
Jenny is an Aries, loves Bellini's, chick lit & Scottish accents, her favourite film is Swingers (Vegas, baby Vegas!).
My day starts at 8.20am when I check the edit calendar so I know who is doing what and where they need to be. With 5 edit suites in our office and a variety of facilities nearby, it’s vital everyone is in the right place at the right time and that the necessary equipment is correctly set up for each project.
At 9.30am everything is fully up and running and the rest of the morning is consumed with following up on projects with translators, duplication houses, designers, DVD facilities etc. as well as clients and Producers to ensure everything is cracking on smoothly. The workload varies from day to day of course, however we normally look after several different types of projects at any one time: Multi-language versioning, encoding, sorting various bit and pieces for the website & EP’s, putting together costs for pitches, ensuring the library is in order, DVD duplication etc.
1.30pm After returning red-faced from my lunch time gym session, I try to reserve the afternoon for admin if possible: invoicing, reconciling job folders, PO’s, chasing overdue Outpost invoices for finance as well as following up on projects from the morning.
6pm I again make a mad dash for Charing Cross station, back to Tunbridge Wells where I collect the kids, chuck them in the bath, read them a story, then lights out (for me too!).
