At Melcrum's 2010 Strategic Communications summit, find out how our films for Actelion made a highly complex subject accessible to a wide audience.

Alex Amos, executive producer at The Edge will be speaking at Melcrum’s annual Strategic Communications Summit on 13th October in London.

Alex’s session is in conjunction with Andrew Jones from Actelion and together they will talk about a series of ground-breaking films we produced together.

In the space of ten years Actelion went from start-up to become one of Switzerland's biggest biotech companies.  This success story is based on the passion of its founders and their fostering of an inclusive culture where employees are encouraged to 'follow innovation where it leads'.

The series of short films provided a platform to tell the Actelion story, putting employees at the heart of the brand and bringing alive their role as 'drug-hunters'. Andrew and Alex will explore how the films tackled such a complex subject in a way that was comprehensible for a lay audience without patronising people (internally and externally) with much more expertise. The result announces to the world what Actelion stands for. Internally the films also help employees crystallize why they work for the business and why it is special to them; leaving them feeling empowered and proud.
