1001 Inventions- Abu Dhabi Success
13th January 20121001 Inventions, the award-winning global initiative about the history of science in Muslim civilisation, took its interactive exhibition to the Abu Dhabi Science Festival in November 2011, organised by The Abu Dhabi Technology Development Committee (TDC). The educational showcase, which was recently crowned “Best Touring Exhibition”, welcomed over 75,000 visitors at the Abu Dhabi Corniche.
The Edge was commissioned to produce “1001 Inventions and the Library of Secrets”, the central, 12-minute, mini-feature film seen by visitors and the central focus of the marketing activity for the exhibition. Since January 2010 the exhibition has seen over 1.5 million visitors and the main film has been downloaded by over 14 million people around the world and won over 20 prestigious international awards.
New for 2011 and specifically for Abu Dhabi, 1001 Inventions launched a bi-lingual Arabic-English interactive exhibition, and The Edge were delighted to have been commissioned again to produce the new kiosk films featuring eminent inventors and scholars from the Golden Age of Muslim Civilisation.
