Take A Second – Katie

Lloyds Banking Group places considerable emphasis on how Group colleagues go about their work, as exemplified in the codes of personal and business responsibility and the mandatory training on dignity and respect.

Lloyds Banking Group’s Diversity and Inclusion team commissioned us to make ‘Take A Second’, understanding as they did that despite all the mechanisms in place, workplace friction persists, and was recognised as a brake on success. This mandatory video-led programme was made educate every employee in the Group. It had a simple aim: be more mindful of other people’s feelings, no matter how much pressure you’re under and together we can make this a better and more inclusive place to work for everyone. The subtitle of the programme is Working together at Lloyds Banking Group.

"The UK banking industry faces significant challenges, and the Group’s 88,000 FTE employees can feel at the wrong end of rapid change, ever-rising workloads and public disapproval. It can make the workplace difficult, with rising reports of friction, sickness and challenges to staff retention"
