1001 Inventions is a global touring exhibition that launched at the London Science Museum, before touring other major global cities including Capitol Hill in US.
Aimed mainly at younger audiences, the free exhibition showcases inventions and technology that were developed by multi-faith scientists all working in Muslim Civilization during the period 800 to 1600AD.
Starring Sir Ben Kingsley and shown on a 7 metre screen, we produced a film that promotes greater understanding of the scientific heritage of Muslim civilization, this introductory film had to engage and inspire the audience whilst dispelling the myth that the so called ‘Dark Ages’ was a dark and unconstructive period of history – thereby making the audience appreciate the link between many modern, everyday items and inventions made over 1000 years ago.
The 1001 Inventions global touring exhibition will be seen by millions of people over the next 4 years, whilst many millions of others will view the film via the web and in schools the world over.
